Features that your child will get when using Typewiz.

We have been teaching children how to touch type since 2007. Over those years we have worked with children to learn the skill of touch typing.
Typewiz was developed in conjunction with Trinity College Dublin using their educational experience so that a child can learn how to type in a fun and interactive way.

Typewiz offers the following features:

WORD PER MIN BADGES

 

 

 

As your child progresses through Typewiz. They can earn word per minute badges. There are three words per minute badges that they can achieve.

Bronze  – 15 words per minute or greater. This would take around 10 to 15 hours to achieve.

Silver – 25 words per minute or greater. This would take around 20 to 25 hours to achieve.

Gold – 40 words per minute or greater. This would take around 30 to 40 hours to achieve.

NEW AVATARS UNLOCKED

 

Each lesson your child completes in Typewiz, a new avatar is available to select.  Avatars help to keep your child focused and motivated so that they can work hard to complete each lesson and earn a new avatar. There are 60 avatars for your child to earn. We have divided the avatars so that they have both a female male avatar.  Avatars can be changed at any time within Typewiz. VIRTUAL COINS TO PLAY TYPING GAMES

 

 

As your child works away on Typewiz, they are rewarded with coins based on how accurate they are in each typing exercises. For example, if the get 100% they earn three coins. Each coin can be used in our typing games. One game uses one coin. Coins can                          also earn by various other ways, thus motivating your child to                              work to a high level of accuracy.

TYPING GAMES

A range of typing games is available in Typewiz. As your child works through the program, new typing games get unlocked after your child completes five lessons. Their game scores are recorded and displayed on a leaderboard. Again motivating your child to achieve a high score when playing our typing games.
